First Marine Piling Installation Using Patented Technology

PolySum installs the first marine piling utilizing its patented technology at a Public Boat Launch in Covington, Louisiana. The piling was 10” in diameter and twenty feet long.


Second Marine Piling Installation at Beau Chene

PolySum installs its second piling at the private Beau Chene Marina in Mandeville, Louisiana.  This piling was 10” in diameter and thirty feet long.

Mississippi Export Railroad Installs "Tuff-Ties"

On May 9, 2001, Mississippi Export installs PolySum's "Tuff-Ties" on one of their main coal car lines near Lucedale, Mississippi.



RTA Installs "Tuff-Ties" on World Famous Street Car Line

On April 26, 2001, New Orleans Regional Transit Authority installs PolySum's "Tuff-Ties" on their World Famous St. Charles Street Car Line.



N.O.P.B. Railroad Installs PolySum Ties

On April 5, 2001 New Orleans Public Belt Railroad installs PolySum's patent pending trapezodial design "Hi-Load" for high axle loads.


Union Pacific Installs PolySum Ties

Union Pacific Railroad and PolySum Technologies, LLC., agree to install ties for testing. On Feb.16, 2001, Union Pacific installs PolySum's patented "Tuff-Ties" in one of their main lines in Avondale, Louisiana.


RTA Installs "Tuff-Ties"

On November 1, 2000, the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority (RTA), installed 33 "Tuff-Ties" in their River Front Passenger Line for in track testing. This installation made the Science & Technology Section of a local paper.


Thermoplastic Railroad Ties Installed

In November 1999, BTI Railroad installs "Tuff-Ties" in track in WY. The installation was in a chemical environment (Soda Ash) loading area which is very harsh on both wood and concrete ties.
